A gentle pause from the pace of everyday life. The Burr Press offers space to retreat, slowdown the pace of busy lives, be creative, walk, become reinvigorated both from the beauty of the natural environment outside inwards, and then as things land, from a restored self, outwards.
❋ Intentional StructureWe have created beautiful living spaces in an area designated as An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in which you can slow down, explore, focus, and start or continue a creative project such as writing.
❋ Slowing to find natural EnergyThere is space to slow and down and connect with core parts of the yourself in a relaxed, natural environment.
❋ Self Catering or Catered Generally self-catered - but catered vegetarian or vegan accommodation is available on request. .
❋ A Supportive Creative SpaceA workshop for creative play is available, and on request materials may be provided.
THE CREATIVE CELL
A beautiful self-catered space in a converted chapel, with its own wet-room and kitchenette, and small outside fern courtyard.

The Burr Lodge
A self-contained lodge inspired by Scandinavian modernism. A light modern space with a kitchen and wet room. The lodge offers space for up to four people in a double sleeping platform, a single sleeping platform and a fold out bed. There are two main spaces, offering a sitting area, an eating areas, a kitchen area, of which there is a wet room.
